Second chances like this do not come along too often. In 1969, buying the very top of the line Chevrolet truck meant a CST. It was the highest trim level available. Features included more chrome, better styling, and other options compared to a standard C-10. This one already has all the work done for you, all you have to do is drive it.

Our owner bought the truck in 2013 with the goal of restoring it, He drove it for about a year then the rebuilding project took place, including removing the cab and body, paint, struts, suspension, etc. Our owner is active duty in the USAF. Shortly after the complete restoration of the truck in 2015, he put the truck in storage prior to shipping out for 4 years. In the meantine, it has been kept in safe dry storage. And now- Our owner is probably going on another tour of duty very soon and so it is for sale.

Cab and body were removed, the frame was sandblasted and inspected. At the same time the very extensive paint process took place. The paint was applied after careful repairs and smoothing was done to the trucks body. The paint is a special mix, Burnt Orange Metallic Pearl. This mysterious coating that drapes itself over the width and breath of our very straight truck. The eye catching color will change from the morning to night. The few spots that needed it had new steel welded in and the entire body Is now straight, tight, and fitted correctly. The beautiful, straight shiny side trim strips offset the paint very well- and they are new, too. The side view of this wonderful truck showing the paint, the trim, wheels and overall stance of this Chevrolet is a great example of a why trucks are so in demand.

The interior is largely original and comfortable, too. The big durable, well made bench seat is in place and looking good. The original dash is supplemented by a small cluster of gauges to keep tabs on the engine and a hard-to-find but fun Mr Gasket Hurst shifter handle. Yes, that’s a Trans Am steering wheel. The original windows with “wings“ were also replaced with a full window on both sides. The wheels are gorgeous and go perfectly with this CST Chevy- they are Outlaw rims and are no longer made. To top it off, all four of the tires have less than 100 miles on them.

The engine is a Chevy 350 and was swapped in sometime prior to our owner buying it. The motor runs strong and has been slightly modified with a seat of headers and dual exhausts, an Edelbrock 1406 model intake manifold and a four barrel carb. Vacuum test recently was great at 18” of mercury. A heavy breather. This venerable piece of well engineered iron is backed up by a GM 4 speed transmssion. The transmission’s linkage was completely rebuilt and reinforced during the rebuild down time in 2015. All of it works very well and as it should. Steady, tight, smooth shifting. Headers were installed leading to a custom dual exhaust ending with chrome tips shaped to compliment the overall profile of the truck. The front brakes were converted to disc for a safer, more reliable stopping power. In addition, new struts were installed, suspension gone over and tightened up as well,

Our Lemon Sqad inspector found a few small imperfections in the paint, outside of this, the interior trim and upholstery thoughout are in good condition with little to no wear of note, the interior operating controls and accessories operate as designed. During the test drive there was plenty of power and no misfires, the transmission shifted as designed and the steering was responsive. The vehicle handled well.

Maybe this truck is not for you. It is for someone who understands and appreciates these fine old trucks, especially when they have been refreshed and renewed like this one has. If that is you, you will enjoy the lack of work that needs to be done as you spend that time enjoying the drive.
