1963 Studebaker Hawk Gran Turismo (GT), 2dr Hdtp. (No post). It has the original V8 from the factory and the column shifted automatic transmission. The car does LOT run and drive but I've not yet addressed the lack of any brakes. The exterior color is ermine white w/a red & white bucket seat interior & it all looks to be the factory original from 1962 or 1963. The odometer shows 26,000 miles and change...its probably 126,xxx...but I havent had time to check the car out enough to determine the actual mileage. Also the factory original white vinyl headliner is intact and not ripped or torn.
The car was originally bought on March 25th 1963 in Clovis New Mexico by a couple from Roswell New Mexico and it stayed in the area there until roughly three years ago. And the car was last tagged in 1973 and the people I bought from (the 2nd owners) bought it from the original owners widow in the 90s & stored it. As a kid in the 60s the second owner & his son (the person that I bought the 63 from) knew the original owners & admired this 63 Studebaker not knowing that one day they would end up w/the car years later.
The car has power steering, power brakes & A/C. All the gauges are there and intact and I will check everything out and let you know (via this ad) which gauges work and which ones don't. The gauges include oil pressure gauge, amp gauge, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, and factory tach.
The 4 original hubcaps, spare (bias ply G-78) and jack are all included with the car.
PLEASE NOTE: THE MAG WHEEL & TIRE COMBOS PICTURED IN SEVERAL PICS ARE FOR STAGING PURPOSES ONLY AND THEY DO NOT COME WITH THE CAR. THE WHITE 15" STEEL WHEELS W/THE ORIGINAL FULL HUBCAPS & LIKE NEW TIRES (2) 205/70R15 & (2) 195/70 R15's will come on/w the car.
As for rust in the floorboards the only places that are bad is where (2)12-volt batteries were left in the drivers & passenger front floor pan tubs all those years (from the 70s up until 3 yrs. ago) and rusted through the floorboard in those two areas. The remainder of the floors are in excellent condition and still show the factory original white paint under the worn/& New Mexico sun faded carpet. The trunk pan is excellent also with only one dime size hole where a factory rivet had rusted through... the rest of the trunk floor still sports the factory original white paint from 1962 or 1963.
The vehicle title is in our business name on the front & ready to be reassigned to the next owner.
