This is the bomb diggity! A big block, 4-speed with air conditioning! Not to mention cowl induction, gauges, great colors and much more.
EXTERIOR: Rare factory color, I never even heard of Misty turquoise! Built in Atlanta, I bought it in Arizona. Overall solid car. Has original 1/4 panels, bottom door lips are clean. Not a new perfect paint but looks sharp. Has glossy finish. SS stripes are painted correctly, smooth to the touch. Chrome and trim is all nice looking.
INTERIOR: The pearl white looks great against the exterior. The instrument panel has been replaced so it has bright chrome trim around the bezels. Has a factory gauge package which includes a tachometer. Retro stereo fits in the factory hole, has a USB plug. The upholstery, door panels, carpet, headliner are not brand new but they have been replaced and look very good.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Has a correct 1970 Chevelle 396-350 hp motor. The engine bay is factory stock. There's also some great features- cowl induction, a/c, power steering and brakes. The motor has a 375 hp GM aluminum intake, original chrome valve covers, original exhaust manifolds. The cowl induction system is complete and functional including the flapper in the hood. It is a factory air conditioning system that been serviced. Newer compressor, updated to R134a freon. New heater control valve. Everything looks proper- radiator shroud, alternator, washer bottle etc.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Clean original trunk pan, I don't see any patches. Actually looking up at the quarter panels they appear to be factory, no splices. Bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb are painted nice. Jamb has clean factory seams and spotwelds. Has a spare, new weatherstrip and mat.
UNDERSIDE: Overall good shape. Solid, proper and respectable. Has new dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers and cowbell tips. Front end looks good. Has upgraded Hotchkis upper and lower control arms in back. Bottom of the motor is clean. Muncie 4-speed looks fresh, driveshaft is new. Has new driveshaft. 12 bolt posi rear. E-brake cables are new, has disc brakes in front.
This is not a fresh frame off restored car but it looks sharp in and out. Not a 10 but very respectable car that will get compliments where ever you take it. The options and colors make this a highly desirable car!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
