It has to be a Chevrolet...notice the rope hood latch or is that the bumper bracket? Anyway I had a "49" Chevy that used that same part to hold the hood down.(Part number is 48"ROPE)

Hey Devon..Gmc/Chevy same thing...made by the same company...the Maple leaf brand was just for Canada....just like Dodge/Fargo.....both made by Chrysler.

I'm not sure of year...but this cool old staketruck is just being used as an eyecatching display....too bad.
