Chevrolet Corvair Station Wagon

Chevy Corvair Station Wagon, notice the vents on the rear fender and rear engine air cooled. Wish this had been my old Wagon! Still has the luggage rack!

Someone slammed the door so hard it knocked the other door off, broke the windows, and to make things worse it made the trunk door open.

My dad was a chevy mechanic in the 60's. He always called these "wind suckers". He loved them. I remember he had a couple of them when I was a kid.

I can feel all the moisture in the air and hear the oxidation taking place just by looking at this picture.

actually they were only called Lakewoods in '61. In '62 they were "Monza wagons". I hate to see sights like this. Corvairs are some of the coolest cars ever. I dive a slammed '63 Monza 900 Club Coupe almost every day!
