1948 Dodge Fargo Pickup Truck

Thank you Jed for sending a photo of your 1941 Dodge. He appropriately named her Daisy cuz he plucked her from this field. And she's not rusty that's patina!

Daisy is coming along well since last post although she is slowly moving into my house, thought she was an out-door truck. P.S This is her least flattering pose. I have also removed the crappy 50's bondo from this fender.

The small ones are what I call cowl lights like lots of 33 34 cars had.Never saw old fog lights that small.Lots of later add on ones on small cars. When I think old fog lights the big ol yellow lens ones that were seen on so many 41-48 chevys is what I think of.Nice ol truck enjoy.

Also all intact and all original but very dirty. Cowl light original and the small ones by the door are fogs.

It just so happens that she is my 1941. Called Daisy cuz I plucked her from this field. And she's not rusty that's patina!

Think most all trucks were six lug back then.I know chevy was till in the 60s.My 37 & 38 chevy 1/2 tons were six lug.My 36 Ply car was five lug but I never owned a Mopar truck.Even Chevy cars were six lug till 1949.This does look like more than a 1,2 ton pickup.

This is a heavy duty truck. Note the 6 lug nuts. Probably 1 ton chassis. This was a work horse in it's day. I would love to build a rat rod from the cab and box. Nice sheet metal on this one.

Was Fargo later going the the next style than Dodge?I like this 39-early 47 Dodge style lots better than the next gen.The small cowl lights looks like early 30s cars.Is that factory or some sort of after market turn signals?
