1979 Gas Lines
I worked at a Getty station in the late 70's. I never waited in a gas line, but I was the guy pumping gas. It was intense. We opened at 7 am and pumped 1500 gallons, because that was what we were alloted per day. We were done pumping in about an hour and a half. Lot of people lost their tempers and we had to turn away people we knew. It wasn't easy. We would put the tow truck at the end of the line and a sign on the back that said "Last car in line". I am glad we don't have to do that today. It was a waste of time and productivity.
Ive got that truck... one like it anyway

Well I go feather back with the gas talk. I remember this but it was short lived, but did live!
I was going all the way back to 1969 where a different gas war was happening, cheap Gas wars. Now that\'s what I would like to see again! I know, I know. .29cents a gallon I believe , correct me if I am wrong.
Good days
