This 1946 Chevy has been in the same family since 1961 and drove daily until 1984. All original with 3 kerosene flares that mount on the running board, an original brush guard, the original crank to crank start the engine, and fender skirts. On it's way to restoration soon....
I brought this truck out of the shop and cleaned it up a little this summer in preparation to start a restoration on it. My 12 year old son fell in love with it and now thinks he needs to inherit it. (It was the first time he had ever seen the whole truck. Even though he had walked past it, going in and out of the shop, almost every day of his life.) I told him if he wanted to inherit it then he had to help restore it. He is really excited to get started on it.
These are called art deco years 1941-1946 and a few real early 47.I like other years better but these are ok by me.The paint is perfect on this one.Love the old look.My 37 chevy pu has the same paint as when I got it in 77.50/50 on people at meets that say"when are you going to paint it? or I would not change a thing".We all are sure not alike.
