Finished in classic Dark Tobacco Brown and stitched in beautiful Tan leather interior. This incredible motorcar has been beautifully preserved and is one of the finest 600s we have ever had the pleasure of offering. The 600, introduced in early 1964 and bearing a close family relationship to its smaller sister cars, was a true successor to the pre-war Grosser Mercedes. Fuel injected and with overhead cams, at 6.3 liters and 250 horsepower, the 600 received one of the company's largest post-war car engines. This was the finest Mercedes built at the time, costing substantially more than a Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III and was the most exclusive post-war Mercedes built. The 600 is capable of 127mph and also possesses outstanding braking abilities, with discs at all four corners. It is also equipped with and a highly sophisticated air suspension system. Air is also used to lock the doors, fuel door and glove compartment, as well as other mechanical functions. In addition, these technologically advanced cars have an ingenious hydraulic system running at 300psi to provide for power windows, sun roof, seat adjustment and trunk lid. There are also separate heating systems for front and rear. While highly complex, servicing requirements are relatively simple and all joints are sealed for life. This gorgeous car is optioned with rear power seats, power windows, power trunk, power locks, and much more. We are proud to offer this truly investment grade 600 short wheelbase limousine to the most sophisticated collector, investor, or enthusiast who understand and appreciates the investment potential of this extremely rare and desired classic Mercedes.
