 Vehicle Description
Corvettes have always been about evolution, not revolution. Each year they add more power, new features, and perhaps some new colors, but major changes are saved for generational changes. What that means is that you can pick up this awesome 2006 Corvette coupe with incredible looks and awesome performance for a fraction of its original price, yet your neighbors will still think youve got a late-model that cost a fortune.

Arctic White never looked so good as it does on the dramatic curves of a Corvette, and white has been on the Corvette color palette from day one. With the C6, Chevy pulled the bodywork tight over the chassis, reduced overhangs, and generally made it look downright predatory rather than simply smooth, as with the C5. The highest praise we can give most of the cars that come through our doors is that they look as good as new, and this car is pretty darned nice. Corvettes are rarely daily drivers, and its quite obvious that this one was a fair-weather toy all its life and that an enthusiastic Corvette hobbyist was its caretaker for the first few years of its life. Its got a few signs of use, of course, a few nicks and scratches, but nothing that detracts from the clean overall look, a look enhanced by the blacked-out lenses, tinted glass, and wicked black wheels.

The C6s interior was an evolution of the C5s, which was truly revolutionary. With sculpted buckets covered in black leather, the interior is highly functional and comfortable enough to drive cross-country. Try that in your vintage Vette! Youll never get tired of watching the gauges do their dance every time you key it up, and things like the stereo and A/C system are powerful and effective, even with the engine at full song. The seats show minor comfort marks, which only seems to add to the appeal, much the way your favorite pair of shoes get more comfortable after theyve been broken in a bit. Overhead it wears the optional removable glass roof, which stows neatly in the trunk on special brackets, and the open-air experience rivals that of a true convertible with far more functionality. You also get a usable trunk big enough for plenty of luggage, making the Corvette an ideal getaway car for a weekend trip.

The LS2 V8 grew to 6.0 liters and 400 horsepower in the C6, making the standard Corvette anything but and nearly matching the power output of the mighty (and mighty expensive) ZR-1 and Z06 of just a few years prior. Its also shockingly effective on the road, delivering horizon-altering acceleration, yet pulling down close to 28 MPG on the open road, thanks to the tall overdrive in the 6-speed automatic transmission. Vented and cross-drilled brakes deliver race-quality stopping power, a Corvette tradition since the early days, and even the suspension is comfortable enough to drive every day yet capable on the weekend track sessions. The engine bay and chassis are nearly spotless, while the lone modification is an awesome-sounding exhaust H-pipe that surely also boosts horsepower. Appearance-wise, the optional blacked-out alloy wheels look fantastic against the white paint, and wear fresh Goodyear performance radials in the stock sizes: 245/40/18 front and 295/35/19 rear.

If you havent driven a Corvette recently, youll be astounded how fast it is. Its also a great car, not just a great Corvette. Call today!
