| Vehicle Description |
| Gorgeous 1960 Jaguar Mark IX Saloon. This car was the most photographed car in Memphis, Tenn for years. I have spent many hours and lots of money repairing and rebuilding this rare Jaguar, including : New front and rear motor mounts, new front and rear shocks, new exhaust system including header gaskets, new oil system including conversion to screw on oil filter, all new belts and hoses, radiator re-cored and sealed, new water rail and water pump, SU carbs completely rebuilt, head removed and decked new valves, valve guides , lifters, etc. , new head gasket, new cam chains and tensioners, complete tuneup, new spare tire (wide white wall classic), trunk redone and carpeted, two new fuel pumps, new right hand gas tank, sealed and installed. electrical system converted to negative ground from old English positive ground system, transmission completely rebuilt. Really nice wooden Jaguar steering wheel installed. CD player and AM/FM radio installed. New universal joints installed. The car looks great, runs cool and the oil pressure is super. This Jaguar turns heads everywhere it goes and starts first time and runs smooth as it should, with everything I have done. I wanted to use it in my Wedding Business, but I am in Houston, Texas and it has no A/C and even though I can add A/C to the car, I don't want to spend another $1500 to do it. I do not know how many miles the car had on it when I bought it because the odometer was not working, but I have done so many things to it, I believe it would go a long time and be trouble free. It has great disc brakes on all four wheels and good to excellant classic white wall tires. It is painted a pale pearl white with new carpets and very nice wood. The interior is good to excellant. It has a moonroof. This car was a famous Wedding car in Memphis, Tennessee for many years. I must sell it, because I have many other classic cars to care for. |
