| Vehicle Description |
| The 64 Midget found a ready and enthusiastic market among the dedicated MG fans as it was a sports car with all the all the traditional MG characteristics. It was small, fast, safe, had predictable handling and above all it was a fun car to drive. The MG A Midget Mark I was given a 1098cc (55hp) “A” series engine and improved transmission ratios in an attempt to make the car more competitive with Triumphs recently announced Spitfire. At the same time the twin-leading-shoe front drum brakes were replaced with disc brakes. The doors had no external handles or locks and the windows were sliding Perspex side-screens. There were 16,080 units produced with the smaller engine and only 9,601 had the 1098cc “A” version. This car has a brand new black soft top and the optional heater. This vehicle comes with documentation of only having had 3 previous owners and has only accumulated 88,886 miles. It was repainted about 5 or 6 years ago and the paint still shows good. The original twin carb set-up was replaced with a more efficient single Weber set up with a Pierce intake manifold. This car is great to tow behind a R.V. due to its light curb weight of 1,460 lbs. The original carbs and intake will be included as well as a Haynes service manual and a tow bar. If you are in the market for a mid 60’s British roadster you will find this turn key driver is priced to move quickly and is sure to appreciate!
