The car is finished in a crisp White with a very nice and complementary Tan leather interior and a Black convertible top. Overall, this is a beautiful car that runs and drives exceptionally well. This 1960 Jaguar XK150 DHC has the original drive train (numbers matching) boasting Jaguars powerful 3.8 liter six cylinder engine. The car is equipped with a close ratio 4 speed gearbox and has electric overdrive. Also, it has a lovely set of chrome wire wheels with knock-off hubs. This is a wonderful return to the 1960s when British sports cars were the envy of the world. This specific example is in outstanding condition and could be driven everyday if desired and if in the right climate. The engine has plenty of power and has great oil pressure, the gear box is smooth and overall, it is just a joy to drive. Low, Curved and Exciting, the bodywork of the XK Series created a sensation when announced in 1948. The engine - a six cylinder - rivaled the big American V8s of the time. Jaguar was center stage at the Winners Circle taking several Le Mans victories. More expensive ($6,000 cost) than their British rivals, MG, Triumph, Austin Healey and Lotus, the Jaguar sold very well due to style, performance and on-track prowess. From 1957 - 1961, 2672 of this model were produced. This California car underwent a body off restoration in 1990 and has been driven sparingly since.
