 Vehicle Description
1967 AUSTIN HEALEY 3000 MARK III CONVERTIBLE, ONE OF THE VERY LAST HEALY 3000

Finished in classic and desired Dark British Racing Green with beautiful Black interior and matching convertible top. This exquisite motorcar was recently acquired from one of the most prominent car collector’s in Southern California. It has been beautifully restored and comes with nearly every option available. This magnificent motorcar is fully documented, including the BMC Heritage Trust Certificate, as well as documented by renowned Austin Healey BJ-8 Registrar expert Steve Byers, “43007 can legitimately lay claim to being the last BJ8 shipped to the USA” (Although we have just been contacted and made aware that there may have been a few others delivered after this motorcar, this is certainly one of the last BJ8 Healey's shipped to the USA). We are proud to offer this investment grade 3000 Mark III to the most sophisticated investor, collector and enthusiast who appreciates and understand the investment potential of this great iconic motorcar. This is an opportunity to own one of the best at an investment price. BUY with confidence - you will not be disappointed in this truly wonderful motorcar.

HISTORY OF THE AUSTIN HEALEY:

Introduced in 1959, the Austin Healey 3000 derived from the original 100 Six, with a larger engine and better brakes. The 3000 reached its final configuration in the Mark III version, a 2+2 convertible with a 2.9-liter 148hp inline 6. One of the most beautiful sports cars ever to come from the British industry, the “Big Healey” was a tough, durable roadster ultimately capable of 120 mph, with clean, curvaceous styling that has held up extremely well, the passing years having bestowed upon it a strong vintage élan.

A perpetual sales success, by 1967 new emissions controls in North America were affecting the Mark III’s viability, and the very last car, the one offered here, was built at the beginning of 1968 before production ceased altogether.
