A great car and true survivor..minimal Rust. Straight clean body. Beautiful condition interior with new upholstery and terrific dash and more, rebuilt engine, 280Z 5 speed manual transmission, and it drives terrific. A nice example of a 1972 Z car. Driving Impressions: Great sounds start happening as soon as you turn the key, thanks to the 6-into-1 Exhaust header and free-flow exhaust. Once warmed up, the engine loves to rev freely, and you close you eye and the sounds are almost Ferrari-esque. Each gear change of the Datsun 5spd transmission is precise and quiet. Power come on smooth, but mash the throttle and the great sound it matched by quick and no-fuss acceleration. Handling and braking are clean and precise. So many of the 240Zs feel used up and tinny..with plenty of rattles and creaks. This car feels very tight. You almost wear an early "Z" car - enveloped in a no-frills cockpit. The interior has been nicely restored. The Dash is uncracked and near perfect. The car has been repainted, but its well done and looks like nicely polished original paint. Rust on this car is almost none existant. Minor surface rust in places, but one of the best ones I have seen in many years. A wonderful car to drive, and to be honest, its enjoyable enough just staring at it, much like an early Jaguar E-Type, which this car somewhat reminds me of in some respects. The entry price certainly much less.
