1970 Chevy 454 LS5 engine & Turbo 400 short shaft trans.

NOTE; THIS IS AN ENGINE & TRANSMISSION ONLY!

Engine & heads were pressure tested with no cracks.

Block is stock bore.

Crankshaft has not been ground

Heads have not been decked.

Miles driven 60K-80K.

Engine was very clean at breakdown, no slidge build-up.

Engine does not have orginal breather or valve covers and does not have either exhaust manifolds.

Included is a high torque starter, water pump and housing, flywheel, electronic distributor, intake & carb.

Engine is completely disassembled.

Engine and Trans. were operating fine before breakdown.

After stock rebuild, this engine will product between 345HPand 360HP..........

This is an all number matching LS5 454 Big Block & Turbo 400 Trans. Not many left!

block build date J-11-9 (Oct. 11, 1969).

solid steel forged crankshaft #7416. tufftrided, cross drilled, balanced for 9.23:1 or 11.25:1 CR

camshaft #3963545.

piston #3963553/4, cast dome.

heads casting #3964290. build date J-9-9 (Oct. 9, 1969). oval port-closed chamber.

intake manifold casting #3955287. build date J-8-9 (Oct. 8, 1969)

carb.- rochester Q-jet 4V #38537-PP4080

400 turbo transmission #70-CB-8642 (Short Shaft)
