| Vehicle Description |
| Motoexotica is offering one special Ducati. This 2002 Ducati MH900 "Mike Hailwood 900 evoluzione" had had tons of add ons installed to make it what you see today. This particular bike was originally owned by ex Ducati factory racer, Jeff Nash. Jeff is a six-time road racing champion, AMA Pro Racing Board member, world renowned Ducati tuner and restoration expert. He has also developed and directed operations for road racing teams of Ducati North America and engaged in R amp; D and product development for the Ducati factory. Jeff won seven national racing titles from 1990 to 2003. A native of New Zealand but a longtime North Texas resident, Nash is one of Ducatis top dealers in the nation. The manufacturer frequently ranks him as its top technician, among the top five U.S. dealers for bike sales, and No. 1 for U.S. sales of performance gear and accessories. Designed by Pierre Terblanche in 1998 on a passionate impulse, the MH900e was built to celebrate the legendary Ducati racer Mike Hailwood and his historic conquest of the world TT1 title on the legendary Isle of Man circuit in 1978. These were hand-built, limited production motorcycles that began production in 2001 and ended in 2002. With only 2,000 bikes being built, orders started to be taken, solely online, on January 1, 2000. Within 72 hours, all 2,000 bikes were spoken for. Customers who put in their reservations on the internet, then waited a year or more to have them delivered. This particular bike has only 2,753 carefully ridden miles on it and is in great condition. Never laid down and never abused. Its driven by the same 904cc air-cooled L-twin that serves the 900SS and sounds incredible coming from the full Termignoni titanium exhaust. This option alone costs almost $5,000. The list of aftermarket parts on this bike consist of a chrome open belt cover, Ohlins shocks, Ohlins steering damper, slipper clutch and new billet turn signals. We have all the original parts for the bike except for the mirrors. Included with purchase is a rear tire stand as well as the complete tool kit, owners manuals and Ducati authenticity plaque that shows that this is bike number 590 of 2000 and was produced in July of 2001. . The five-spoke wheels are by Marchesini and are unique to the bike. The front rim is relatively conventional but the rear wheel is dished, with the 220mm rear disc brake inside it. The bike wears twin 320mm stainless rotors in front with four piston Brembo calipers. Both tires look great with tons of tread left on them. These bikes rarely come up for auction and when they do there is much interest. This bike needs nothing but a new owner. VIN number is ZDM1LA4N42B000764 and the mileage currently shows 2,753. |
