Stk. 1891 1976 Harley-Davidson FLH (Modified) Motorcycle
Two years of vision and planning went into the fabrication and finish of this custom bike. Starting life originally as a 1976 Harley Davidson FLH, the stock frame underwent a hard tail conversion and then received a dramatic new skin in gloss black powder-coat; which created a perfect canvas with which to build on. A custom seat pan was installed to accommodate the installation of a vintage horse saddle that was cut down especially for this machine. Chrome seat springs; a powder coated 17 3/4"Twisted Chopper Springer front end and 21" x 2.12" wheels up front with 16"x 3.5" out back wrapped in Avon Speed Master tires round out the suspension package. Anderson pegs and custom fabricated forward controls certainly add to making the ride a bit more pleasurable. Flanders Vintage Triumph handlebars with Natural "Kung Fu" grips overlook an Axed Bob fuel tank finished in a killer Candy Orange metallic with Copper Gold Leaf trim that is sealed off with no less than 24 coats of clear. The same was applied to the 1935 Ford spare tire cover fabricated into a rear fender, oil tank and trim bezel of its Bates style headlight. Motivation is provided by a rebuilt, 1200cc Shovelhead that uses a stock camshaft, .30 over pistons, new valves and seats, a tasty side-draft SU carb with custom chopped intake, rebuilt oil pump and Dyna solid state ignition. Handling the spent gasses is a hand-fabricated stainless steel exhaust complete with baffling, that in itself is a visual work of art. The beautifully powder coated primary case cover of black and gold houses a four-speed, belt drive transmission with new clutch and bearings, that spins a 530 x 110 link Brass O-Ring chain as its final drive. Dont worry about breaking a leg, shes also equipped with a high-tech Anti-Gravity Lithium battery and electric push-button starter not to mention a new alternator and regulator as well. Jims Motor Service in Highpoint, NC performed the final massaging of this incredible machine and so it is ready to hit the open road once more.
