First offered in 1957 as a limited production option on the Pontiac Star Chief, the Bonneville became its own series in 1958. The Bonneville name was actually applied to a pair of GM concept cars that were called the Bonneville Special in 1954, however it was in 1957 that 630 Star Chief Custom Bonneville Convertible’s evolved, thus making it one of the most collectible Pontiacs of all time. The Bonneville continued in production for almost 50 years as one of Pontiacs more luxurious lines before it was dropped from production in 2006.
