The 2+2 option package was first offered in 1964 as an optional package on the Catalina 2 door hardtop and convertible. The 2+2 sports package included the 2+2 number badges, 421 engine and it's 421 badges, and simulated louvers behind the front wheel cutouts. 1966 was the last year for the 2+2 option as well as the year that the 2+2 became it's own separate series and was easily identified with it's twin lens tail lamps, vertical air slots behind the doors, Pontiac 421 emblems, and the same 2+2 badges. Standard was the 421 with 338 hp.
