Mercury Sun Valley

The Sun Valley Hardtop was added to the line up for Mercury in 1954, with a Tinted Plexiglas top, passengers could not only look out, but also up! At first the Sun Valley only came with 2 color schemes, Dark Green over Light Green and Dark Green over Cream. Later in the year additional color schemes where added and a limited number of color coordinated vinyl and cloth and all vinyl upholstery was offered. The Glass roof was thought to only raise the temperature in the car about 5 degrees, Mercury also offered a snap-on interior sun shade.
