The Ford Bronco was offered to the public in 1966 as Ford intended for it to compete against Jeep's CJ-5 and International Harvester's Scout in the growing four wheel drive market. The first Broncos were very basic without options such as power steering and an automatic transmission. With much success, the Bronco was soon to add many options including; Warn free wheeling hubs, snow plow kits, winches, tachometers, trailer hitches, air lift front, auxiliary springs, tow hooks, etc. The popularity of the Ford Bronco will no doubt continue to soar in the years to come.
