| General Information |
|
|
| In 1976, the Corvette actually made small power gains as engine output climbed, due to higher compression ratios made possible by a newly adopted catalytic converter. A new four-spoke steering wheel was added and the rear-deck air-extractor vents were removed. Options topped at the practical rear-deck luggage rack and the factory first aluminum wheels. Despite having no Convertible Roadster and a little changed Coupe the 1976 Corvette actually climbed in base price by $800 all the way up to $7605.00, and amazingly set a new sales record with 46,558 produced. |
