1967 Plymouth Belvedere

A variety of models were available in the Belvedere line-up for 1967, including the brand new GTX.  The Belvedere GTX was available in a 2 door hardtop or convertible.  Heavy-duty torsion bars and over-sized anti-sway bars help provide control for the GTX powered by the Super Commando 440 cu. in. V8 engine accompanied by the standard TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic transmission.  Dual scoops on the hood, chromed dual exhaust outlets, pit-stop gas cap and special Red Streak tires. Other models included the Belvedere Satellite also available in a 2 door hardtop or convertible.  The 1966 Satellite featured a standard 273 cu. in. V8 and was equipped with front bucket seats, sports console or armrest, dual braking system and roadside warning flashers. The Belvedere II in a 2 door hardtop, convertible, 4 door sedan and 4 door station wagon.  Belvedere II full length body moldings wrap around taillights padded instrument panel and sun visors standard engine was the 225 cu. in 6-cylinder or 273 cu. in V8 maneuvered by a 3-speed manual transmission. The 225 cu. in 6-cylinder engine was standard on the Belvedere I and was available as a 4 door sedan, 2 door sedan or 4 door station wagon; and the base model Belvedere was only available as a 4 door station wagon.   The Belvedere Station Wagons came in 2 seat or 3 seat models and were equipped with either a 225 cu. in 6-cylinder or 273 cu. in. V8 engine.  Optional choices to dress up your Plymouth’s for the year included a Tilt-a-Scope steering wheel, full dress wheel covers, power windows, electric door locks, front disc brakes, power brakes, electric clock, FM/AM radio, air conditioning and 3-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission or a 4-on-the-floor. Offered again was the Plymouth Street Hemi engine. Out of the total produced, a total of 2 were installed in the Satellite Hardtop, 1 in a Satellite convertible with a four speed, 55 in a Belvedere II hardtop and 720 in Belvedere GTX hardtops and convertibles.
