1962 Pontiac Grand Prix
The Pontiac Grand Prix was introduced in 1962 as a single hardtop model, based on the Catalina. The new Grand Prix was at the top of the line and sported a clean style exterior with a sporty and luxurious interior that featured Morrokide-covered bucket seats, a console, floor shift, tachometer, and rear speaker. 16 lucky buyers owned one of the Grand Prix's that were built with the 421 Super Duty engine with 370 "rated" hp, although rumored to be much more! (Only one of these has been found to exist yet today!).
