The full-sized Impala, Bel Air and Bicsayne recieved a new outer shell in 1962. Many regard the '62 line as some of the finest in Detroit Automotive history, with a clean, important look the '62 is favored among collectors today. Also new for '62 was the news that Chevy dropped the 348 V8 and focused on the 327 V8. Sales soared as production consisted of over 700,000 Impalas, 365,000 Bel Airs and 160, Biscayne models produced. |
