1951 Studebaker Commander

With the industrial demands of the Korean War, Studebaker fell short of exceeding production numbers in 1951 as they did in 1950. Only 222,000 unit sales were recorder for the year out of those 124,280 Studebaker Commanders were built. The line-up was basically the same as the previous year the only main difference was body size. The Commander now shared the 115 in. wheelbase with Champions and the Land Cruiser decreased from 124 inches to 119. The bullet nose added a second chrome ring and gone were the prominent air vents above the grille.
