The ’47 Chevy received a new design with a new Unisteel cab styling. The grill featured five horizontal bars topped by a hood ornament with a blue bow tie and Chevrolet lettering. The interior was upgraded with wider seats and a redesigned instrument panel. The ¾ ton trucks, as well as the 1 ton trucks, received the same new styling but had a longer wheelbase and bed. Year end production totaled 335,343 but this included both 1946 & 1947 models.
Options included rearview mirrors, oil bath air cleaner, heavy-duty clutch, double-acting rear springs, Tru-Stop brake equipment, inside fuel tank, wide running boards, oil filter, cab rear corner windows, and various tire options. Some dealer accessories included a tissue dispenser, license plate frame, antifreeze hydrometer, underhood lamp, cigarette lighter, hood ornament, windshield scraper and more.
