Stk. 1889 1999 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4
If there was ever a high-performance Japanese sports car from the Nineties that was could be considered as one destined for greatness, the Mitsubishi 3000 GT was certainly deserving and part of a very small, select group of contenders. Laden with high technology and high performance from the "Less is More" camp, the 3000 GT was designed as a two-door, rear- wheel drive sport coupe equipped with a 3.0 liter, multi-point fuel injected, single overhead cam V-6 with two valves per cylinder. It pumped out a respectable 161 horsepower and 185 lb/ft of torque at 4000 rpms. But if you wanted to run with the Nissan 300 ZX, Mazda RX 7 or Toyota Supra of the day well your only choice was to check off the VR4 box on your order sheet. Now the playing field was leveled. Boasting the same 3.0 liter V-6 with slightly less compression, add double overhead camshafts with four valves per cylinders and twin turbo-chargers and voila; 320 horsepower and 315 ft/lb of torque channeled through a four-wheel drive system that could make anyone behind the wheel a genuine threat in the battle of the baddest. Dont let the mileage fool or discourage you, because this car has been owned and pampered by only two owners since new. It still wears its original factory paint scheme of Gloss Red and shy of a couple of touch-ups on its front nose looks for all the world to be showroom fresh. The same holds true for its immaculate and original black leather interior which shows very few signs of typical wear or cracking. In its day, leather was an expensive option at $824, as was its Infinity AM/FM/Cassette/CD player at $896. All power accessories are fully functioning, as is the factory air conditioning system. Our Car-Fax Vehicle History Report confirms this to be a two-owner no-hit car listing eleven service records on file so you can buy this dreamboat with confidence.
