BARN FIND!!!! This 1959 Ford Ranchero started out as a father son project, but it turned out to be 98% father, and 2% son. Ha Ha..anyway, this was found in a chicken coop, where it had sat for 30 years. We pushed it out, hooked some gas to it, and it started. so we worked on it for 2 years, My son wanted to leave the original exterior, with its surface rust,dings, and blemishes. but the interior was shot. So we totally refinished the interior, New windshield, carpet, headliner, door panels, painted the dash, and door jambs,seat,new weatherstripping. I installed 1 inch thick white oak wood panels, and metal slats in the bed and distressed it, to give it that "old truck" look, then put in a new gas tank, gas lines, gas pump, and fuel filter,rebuilt the carb.We put new brakes all around, and new shocks. New white wall tires also.The engine is a 292 v8, 3 on the tree trans. It runs pretty good, we have taken it to a few local car shows, where it gets lots of attention. It comes with a distressed, yet fully functional 1959 J.C. Higgins bike, matching tool box, gas can,cooler, picnic basket full of matching supplies.
