Stk. 1895 2006 Cadillac XLR V Convertible
First introduced in 2004 as the successor to the Cadillac Allant, the XLR was Cadillacs ultimate expression in the Ultra Luxury Segment until they discontinued the model in 2009. Manufactured at that time in the Bowling Green, Kentucky plant alongside of the Chevrolet Corvette, the XLR originally shared the same hydro-formed chassis as the Corvette C5 until 2005, when it was replaced by the C6. Offering an exclusive power retractable hardtop engineered by Mercedes and Porsche, and powered by a NorthStar 4.6L V-8 developing 320 horsepower; the XLR was truly state of the art. In 2005 Cadillac decided it was time to launch a counter offensive towards the likes Mercedes AMG line and BMWs M series with their own hotrod; The V Series. Take our two-owner, 48,628 mile model for example. Originally sold to its first owner by King Cadillac Buick Pontiac GMC in Florence, South Carolina and eventually sold to our second owner here in Concord, North Carolina; this Caddy has very much been a pampered Southern car all of its life. Wearing its original and glossy Black Raven paintwork and packing an amazing 4.4L NorthStar supercharged VVT V-8 that is good for 443 horsepower; one drive lets you know this isnt your fathers Cadillac. A six-speed 6L80 automatic transmission, driver shift control and limited-slip rear differential round out the driveline while 19" ten spoke alloy wheels shod with P235/50/19 tires up front and P255/40/19 in the rear along with Stabilatrak and Magnetic Ride Control ensures ultimate safety and prodigious grip. In the cockpit is a level of luxury found in very few roadsters, such as Keyless Access with remote start, a heads-up display, Dual Climate Control, and heated and cooled eight-way seats covered in Ebony Leather and Suede fabric seat inserts. Exotic Zingana wood adorns the stylish center stack, console and doors, and is richly complimented by stylized aluminum trim through out the cabin. The jewel-like Bvlgari instrumentation is not only very rare to find but also very beautiful and underscores the uniqueness and craftsmanship built into each and every XLR.
