| When the Plymouth brand died before the all-new Challenger hit the streets, fans were justifiably unhappy that there would be no new Cuda to match. Well, fortunately, the guys over at Mr. Norms Garage were all too happy to help the Plymouth guys out with a neatly-dressed 2010 version of their beloved E-body musclecar. Showing only 12,152 original miles, this Cuda, er, Challenger looks for all the world like a brand new car. The Mr. Norms makeover took what was already a fantastic-looking car and added all the familiar styling cues such as the sculpted front grille, gills on the front fenders, a twin-nostril hood, and what appear to be original Cuda taillights out back. The whole thing was painted inky, sinister black, giving it just the right amount of menace out on the street. Theres also a chin spoiler and a somewhat subtle decklid spoiler to complete the look, and its all in showroom fresh condition. A lot of folks see this car and then do a double-take, not sure if theyve just seen what they think theyve seen. Up close, the illusion is quite good, and if youve been hankering for a Cuda, your car has just arrived. It even wears proper Cuda badges, with the Charger logo on the nose replaced by Mr. Norms signature. Cool, right? The black leather interior got its share of upgrades as well. The Challenger already comes pretty well loaded, and when you order the 6-speed manual, it takes on a whole new persona. Mr. Norm added a traditional pistol-grip shifter for the Tremec gearbox, so it feels like the good old days with every shift. White-faced gauges behind a fat leather-wrapped steering wheel look great, and its easy to get comfortable in those incredibly supportive buckets. And for back seat passengers, two DVD players, headsets and remote controls included, have been installed just for extra cool points. Everything remains in showroom fresh condition, including the drivers seat, carpets, and even the trunk which looks like it has never carried anything but the original spare. Performance is not a problem with Chryslers thundering 5.7 liter Hemi V8. Augmented by a Mopar Performance cold air induction kit installed by Mr. Norms own mechanics, it has a wonderful muscle car sound and enough torque to turn those giant rear tires to expensive smoke almost at will. The rest of the engine is factory stock, which means its still covered by the factory warranty, still starts instantly, still idles perfectly, and pulls like a freight train on the street. All the important stuff is there, including A/C, ABS brakes with traction control, and heavy-duty disc brakes at all four corners. For nostalgias sake, 20-inch Torque Thrust wheels have been fitted wearing factory-issue 245/45/20 Goodyear RS-A performance radials. Documentation is everything with a car like this, so it includes the original window sticker and all the receipts from Mr. Norms Garage. A sure-fire future collectable thats also a ton of fun today.
