Stk. 1837 1997 Chevrolet Corvette
1997 marked the first year for the C5 Corvette which went on in production until 2004. Only 9,752 were produced that first year as coupe models. 1997 also marked the first year for use of the "All New" LS series all aluminum V-8. Producing 345 horsepower from 350 cubic inches, it would go on to prove itself as a very reliable, efficient and powerful motor. Our example here, which was originally Torch Red, was re-painted in a Burgundy Metallic that contrasts nicely over its original black vinyl interior. Sitting in the cockpit you are cosseted in a perfect cocoon of padded door panels, dash and console along with some of the most comfortable and adjustable power bucket seats ever installed in a Corvette. Its many amenities includes such features as a tilt wheel, power steering, power brakes, power windows and locks, and a Bose AM/FM/CD stereo system. Underneath its fiberglass shell is a clean undercarriage sporting a fully independent aluminum suspension and four-wheel disc brakes that makes for superb road handling and tremendous stopping power. Its original LS1 engine is backed up by a rear mounted four-speed automatic transmission with a final drive of 2.73:1 that offers great efficiency on the open road. Keeping it glued to the road are chromed five-spoke factory wheels shod with brand new Nitto NT555 Z rated tires; 245/45/ZR17s up front and massive 275/40/ZR18 rubber out back. The finishing touches on this sweet ride has to be the race inspired projector headlights; originally used in the C6 racing program and the bodacious sounding, quad- tipped, SLP Loudmouth exhaust. You better hurry this one wont last long. Call 800-650-1055 or visit our website at www.autobarnclassiccars.com for more information. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
