| Vehicle Description |
| This gorgeous one of a kind Trans Am just oozes with quality. The body was professionally cut and converted into a convertible with a custom built convertible frame, soft top and boot. At the same time the rust free laser straight body was painted in an absolutely awesome Radiance Candy from PPG. The paint has a mirror finish and it changes from a dark purple to black depending on the lighting. The fit and finish of the body is further complimented by a sweet set of polished Centerline wheels with knock offs. The heart of this bad boy is a performance built engine from a 1987 GTA Trans Am which has an Isky cam, Isky roller rockers and a Pete Jackson gear drive. The engine is fed by a K&N cold air intake and sounds just plain nasty ripping the ceramic coated headers and Magnaflow exhaust. The 350+ hp engine has no problem putting power to the ground via a performance built 700R4 tranny that is controlled by a B&M ratchet and connected to a Dana 44 posi rear end with 3:54 gears. Both the tune of the engine and the shift points of the tranny are easily changed with the Accel software ran by the included Dell lap top. This beauty has also been upgraded with 4 wheel disc brakes which are identical to the WL6 option that was available on the Firehawk. Handling is tight with the 2 ¼ turn performance steering gearbox. The original dash cluster has been customized just like the famous T/A in Knight Rider with an all LED display which displays the speed, rpm’s, water temp, oil pressure and voltage but still retains its original analog odometer. You will also find a nice list of creature comforts such as a custom Kenwood sound system with CD changer, tilt steering, cruise control, power seats, windows, locks and mirrors. Over $20,000 was spent on customizing this car and less than 2,000 miles have been put on it since its completion. If this turns you on you better pick up the phone because this car is priced to move! For more pictures and a video of the engine running, visit our website at www.hotrodschoppers.com! |
