Stk. 1714 2006 Dodge Charger SRT8
The original Dodge Charger debuted as a show car in 1964 and was based on a Dodge Polara chassis or B body. Introduced in final production form in 1966, the all new Dodge Charger had already begun to establish itself as a performance car with its long nose, cab rearward design and a 426 ci "Wedge" engine. Fast-forward to 2005 as Dodge yet again rolls out a whole other kind of Charger, the SRT-8. Standing for Street and Racing Technology, 8 cyl and featuring 425 hp and 420 lb/ft of torque, Brembo four wheel disc brakes, and various interior and exterior upgrades and badging, Dodges performance history was repeating itself once again. With a total production of only 4,720 SRT8 Chargers built in 2006, our one-owner Charger was one of only 675 cars painted in Bright Silver Metallic Clear coat. In fact it has so much standard equipment that the only additional options were a factory sunroof and the owner added a six-disc CD and a rear console DVD screen. With massive 9.5"x 20" flat black CCW rims up front and 11"x 20" out back, shod with a pair of Nittos best Invo 285/40ZRF20 and 315/35ZRF20 skins, you just know this cant be anything but nasty. One lift of the ultra-light composite hood confirms its pedigree. Performance Motorsports in St. James, NY blueprinted, balanced and performed the necessary surgery on this 6.1 Hemi; skillfully installing Ross 10:1 pistons, Manley rods, HHP Stage 2 blower camshaft and cylinder heads, and holding it all together, ARP studs all around. The coup de grace has to be the 3.0L Techno Twin Screw blower and the dyno stats dont lie. This bad boy is churning 514 hp and 623 lb/ft of torque to a five-speed Paramount Performance NAG1 tranny, SFI flex plate and 2800 high torque stall converter. Getting it to the ground is a Quaife limited slip rear feeding DSS 1000 hp axles. Hotchkis, KW Variant coil-overs and Razors Edge adjustable front links help keep it real in the handling department while Kooks long tubes, high flow cats and Magnaflow exhaust let all know this aint your Daddys Dodge. Finally add a Diablo Predator with programmed tunes by AJ Hemi Tuner and you can pretty much color yourself gone. Oh and did I mention the 100 shot of nitrous in the trunk?
