The Sixth Annual National Radial Engine Exhibition (NREE) to be held Saturday, September 13, 2008 at the Colorado Plains Regional Airport in Akron, Colorado is looking forward to an even bigger and better show than last year!
According to Scott Harold, NREE Committee Member, “Gene Soucy will be returning to thrill young and old alike with his barnstorming aerial acrobatics and the show stopping images of last year along with Teresa Stokes, the Wing Walking beauty on top of Gene’s bright red biplane – the Showcat!” Scott also says “Gene and Teresa always will take time to educate, entertain and enlighten folks about their airplane.” This year there is the opportunity for a ride on this airplane.
“A B25 Bomber will be at the event to give tours and share history of this famous set of radial engine powered aircraft” says Randy Hayes.
The National Radial Engine Exhibition is a static display of radial engine aircraft from the1920’s to the 1950’s. This annual event includes a muscle, antique and classic car show, radio controlled airplane exhibitions, a toy show, food and vendor booths, aerobatics display and of course some of era’s most impressive airplanes!
Come spend the day visiting the displays and the vendor booths that include food, crafts, aviation and art. |
