| The 'Round Nevada Classic Car Tour for 2009 was inspired by the Great Auto Race of 1908. The Great Auto Race route took competitors from New York City to Paris, France. Teams covered three continents, 22,000 miles and did it all in 169 days. The 2009 'Round Nevada Tour will take participants from Reno to Burney Falls, Crater Lake, Grants Pass, Crescent City, Eureka, Redding, Chico, Grass Valley, and Truckee in six days and about 1000 miles. The 1907 Thomas Flyer proved victorious in the 1908 event and is presently on display at the National Auto Museum in Reno, Nevada, where our tour starts. 75 classic cars will roll through Nevada, Oregon, and California during the Annual 'Round Nevada Classic Car Tour for 2009 featuring pre-1972 automobiles. This charity tour makes stops in Burney Falls, Crater Lake, Grants Pass, Crescent City, Eureka, Redding, Chico, Grass Valley, and Truckee . The tour dates for the 2009 tour are June 1st through June 6th. As there are no trophies or purse for this invitational tour, it is what you find along the highways and by-ways of the tour that makes it worthwhile. There are seven car shows with no prizes, ribbons, or trophies, just cruising and having fun. Everything from car shows, historical tours, wine trains, to bar-b-q's and picnics are scheduled for this year's tour. Please visit our web site to see the cars and pictures from the 2005, 2006, 2007, & 2008 tours. http://www.nevada-rides.com If you can't make the tour, make our opening car show: The Concours d'Arrogonce!
