August 20, 2016 (Carmel, IN) VETTES N VETS Corvette Show. Announcing the 2016 Corvette Indy all Corvette show for Saturday, August 20th at the American Legion in Carmel and sponsored by PENSKE CHEVROLET. Please plan to attend and enjoy the day with your fellow Corvette owners. You don't need to be an avid car show person to enjoy this "just for fun" event. Wash your Vette and detail it or just drive it in as you find it. We will have food prepared for and sold by the American Legion, music, karaoke, guest speakers, raffles, dash plaques, goodie bags, lots of fun and lots of trophies to give away! Last year we had about 125 Corvettes entered in our show and we gave out 102 trophies. This year we plan to award 134 trophies! Two separate sets of trophies are to be awarded; one for Corvette Indy club members and the second set for non club members. It will be participant judged so Corvette Indy members will vote on non club member Corvettes and non club members will vote on Corvette Indy Corvettes. That makes the award process very fair and non club members will not have to compete against Corvette Indy Corvettes. There will be 13 different "C" classes plus 4 special classes along with Best Interior, Best Exterior, Best Engine and Best of Show with 3 trophies for each category and more! Dash plaques will be given to the first 150 registered. Pre-registration fee is $15 per vehicle until August 4th at which time it will increase to $20 per vehicle. Registration for Corvette Indy club members is free. Ask about club membership as show registration is free if you join the club either as your primary club or a secondary club. Pre-registration is now open. You can send your check made out to Corvette Indy along with your registration form to John Burkhardt (8505 West 96th Street, Zionsville, IN 46077). Be sure to include your name and your Corvette information for each Corvette you plan to show. The Corvette information needed is the year, the color, the model (coupe or convertible), and if it is one of the special classes (Grand Sport, Pace Car, Z06 or ZR-1).
