The Red River Valley Honkers Car Club in conjunction with the Lamar County Chamber of Commerce would like to invite everyone to come join us in Paris on June 8, 2013 for the 6th annual Northeast Texas Classic Car Show. The 2013 show is being made possible by our generous corporate sponsor Toyota of Paris as well as many other Paris businesses. Thanks to them and your participation the Northeast Texas Classic Car Show will be bigger and better than ever.
Richard Drake Construction will be sponsoring the 74 beautiful class award trophies this year.
Again this year is the awarding of 66 special trophies called Paris Picks. These will be actual trophies awarded to show participants that have been chosen by one of our many fine sponsors for these special awards.
We will once again be hosting a cruise night and 50's party the preceding evening, Friday June 7 at the Love Civic Center. This event is free of charge thanks to Mikes Custom Paint and Body Shop. This is a fun way to see beautiful historic Paris and be seen in your classic ride or hot rod. The cruise kicks off at 6 p.m. sharp and we will travel the main streets of Paris as well as our quaint turn of the century square. Afterwards, there will be dancing to your favorite oldies and doo wop tunes, from the 50s and 60s. We are proud to have Dale Cummings, aka "The C", as our Master of Ceremonies for the 50s & 60s party. Dale will be entertaining us with singing and dancing to the great music of the 50s & 60s from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Or you can just visit with fellow car enthusiasts and enjoy delicious food or treats from one of our specialty food vendors. Come early and register in the drawing for a free LCD HD television, compliments of NAPA Auto Parts, to be won by a lucky partier. It will be an evening of family fun for all.
There will also be an Arts & Crafts show inside the Love Civic Center. Many vendors will be on hand to showcase their wares.
Registration for the car show will be from 8 to 11 a.m. June 8th at the Love Civic Center Lobby. The first 200 registrants will receive a dash plaque and the first 100 registrants will receive a free car show T-Shirt. The first 36 participants that pre-register are guaranteed covered parking under the beautiful pavillion. Door prizes will be awarded to participants throughout the show and a 50/50 pot give away. Show hours will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with trophy presentations at 3 p.m. The proceeds from this show will benefit several local charities including the Red River Valley Veterans Memorial.
