| Held in conjunction with the Borough of Delaware Water Gap's Founder's Day Celebration, "Cars in the Water Gap" (Sat., June 28, 2008) is open to unique vehicles of all eras with more than 20 classes of vehicles. Two trophies will be awarded in each class with two Best of Show Awards for the Best Street Rod/Custom, and Best Original/Restoration. "Goodies" bags and dash plaques will be given to the first 150 registrants. Proceeds of the event will benefit the restoration of the historic Delaware Water Gap Railroad Station. A steam excursion train from Steamtown National Historic Site in Scranton, PA (www.nps.gov/stea/) will arrive at 12:00 noon. Additional activities around the borough include a firehouse pancake breakfast, art and crafts shows, live music including a 40-piece Sousa band concert, food, auto flea market, auto-related vendors, and a roving trolley throughout the town.
