Event Dates: April 26, 2014 - April 26, 2014 Location: Pittsboro, North Carolina
Northwood High School Bands, will be hosting the 4th Annual Motors for Music Car Show Saturday, April 27th, at Alpha Install in Pittsboro NC. Alpha Install is located at the old Pittsboro Chevrolet building located at 697 Hillsboro St. about a mile north of downtown. The show will last from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., and general admission is free to the public. Food, concessions and door prizes will be available at the show, as well as a 50/50 raffle. Anyone interested in showing off their car, motorcycle or truck can register at the event starting at 8 a.m. Judging starts at 2pm.
The registration fee is $20, and the show is open to all makes and models of vehicles. The first 100 participants to register will receive a special Motors for Music dash magnet in recognition of their presence. The owners of the top 50 cars&trucks will all receive trophies for their entries, and there will be a top motorcycle trophy as well. Entrants will be able to vote toward the top prize the Best of Show Award. Only people who have entered vehicles into the show will be eligible to vote for the winner.
The Club Award will go to the club with the highest participation and most cars registered. The Young Gun Awards will go to high school students. With 1st, 2nd and 3rd places available, the awards will be given to students who enter regularly driven cars. Music will be a major portion of this event and will begin with the Northwood High School Jazz Band. In addition to the jazz band, several other groups will perform throughout the day.
