Local students are gearing up for a chance of a lifetime, a summer journey to visit America’s neighbor, Canada. These students were chosen by People To People as Student Ambassadors representing their communities and schools as they journey out on an educational adventure this summer. The Ambassadors Auto Classic is a fundraising event geared towards helping these local students raise the necessary funding for this educational experience. This event will also benefit the Capital High School Softball Team and the Capital RAZE. This event will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 from 10am-4pm at the Capital High School parking lot. The event will include a classic car show, silent auction, door prizes, kids’ activities, live entertainment and a concession stand. The admission price into the event will be $5.00 per person. To display a car in the classic car show portion of this event is $15.00 and includes a goody bag and entry into special door prizes. Interested car owners should call 304-972-9089 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for information.
Each student ambassador must raise money to be able to go on this adventure. Margi MacDuff, parent of one of the Student Ambassadors says, “We as parents want our children to have an opportunity to see the world. This is our way of helping them prepare to be a part of this new global society. This fundraising event will do exactly that, help these local students raise the necessary funds to travel to Canada with the People to People Student Ambassador Program.”
With 50 years of experience, People to People Ambassador Programs takes students into places no ordinary tour group can go— on all seven continents. “We challenge tomorrow’s leaders to expand their global awareness, discover new confidence, and have the time of their lives.” To find out more about the People to People Student Ambassador Program visit: www.peopletopeople.com
