19cvy57man: This chevy is a great find and I congradulate you for it. I bought a 62 Impala ( no SS ) convertible in about the same condition 20 some years ago. Since I aquired the car, I'm in the process of replacing the floor pans and restoring the body and drive line. The car came with a 6 cyl. engine and a castiron powerglide trans. I will be installing a 350-v8 and a 700R4 trans. Best of luck in your restoration project and I hope your time frame of completion is a lot shorter then mine. The 62 Chevy convertible is one of the finest looking rides on the road today.

409impala: I found this convertible behind a barn in TN. SuperSport car with manual transmission. The owner had the whole front cap off and stored seperately. It had been in a minor accident but nothing major at all. Super nice old man. He knew it was going to just rust away. Wish more people would realize that fact.
