Cool Cars was started in Waxahachie and is entering its 6th year. Cool Cars assumed responsibility for the Waxahachie Fun Run from the Dallas Street Rods 5 years ago, and with the help of Midlothian Classic Wheels, the Waxahachie Fun Run is held the second weekend in October annually at Getzendaner Park; it is presently in its 31st year. All proceeds go to the Texas Baptist Childrens Home. Cool Cars Club goes on regional tours, and tries to attend most cruises and charitable car shows in the area. John Smitka is the acting Director.
