* We are the SloPokes Rod and Custom Car Club of Amarillo Texas, located in the "Panhandle" of Texas.
* Our club was founded in June 1990 with a handful of "car nuts" and has grown to over 40 active, if not nutty, members.
* We "cruise" the first Saturday of every month year-round in a joint effort with others clubs in the area. Come join us!!
* The SloPokes organize the Christmas Lights Cruise every December - a sightseeing tour of Amarillo's Christmas light displays.
* We help sponsor two major events each year: the Make-A-Wish Car Show and the Meals-On-Wheels Swap Meet and Car Show.
* Someone from the club attends nearly every car event in the region, and across the country - we love cars!!!
* We enjoy all kinds of cars, with Street Rods being the biggest emphasis, but we have members with antiques, muscle cars, customs, classics, trucks and even drag cars.
