The Lakes Area Cruisers have been together for about 10 years and have been having an Annual Rod Run in November for the last 7 years with this year the 8th. We have approximatly 45 members with a very good monthy turnout for club meetings, which we have at revolving restaurants around our city.
Our Annual Rod Run is a Charitable Event with all proceeds going to Our Local Lakes Area Hospice, which a couple of our members have unfortunatly had to use their services. Lakes Area Hospice is a Great Organization and always appreciates the donation, which has been around $8,000 the last two years and $10,000 the year before. Our City loves our Annual Rod Run and Anties Up every year with lots of money and prizes and awards to be given away. We offer a Friday Night Hospitality from 5 - 8 pm, Show and Shine all Day Saturday until 8 pm. with a FREE Saturday Noon Meal with all the fixins., Sunday Morning after the Sunday morning devotional for those who wish to attend, Lots and Lots of Awards at given to deserving receipients and Grand Prize Money of $500 to one lucky entry. Other cash awards are also given.Everyone gets great goody bags worth $10 or more. If you haven't ever been, you've missed a good one!If you know someone who has been, I bet they come back! And you will too! We have fun, eat good, and go home with something in your pockets. We have lots of Good Restaurants in the area and plenty of nice hotels, close to the show. The host hotel has 100 rooms and a restaurant for morning breakfast. If you come to Ours somebody from the Cruisers will come to yours.It's generaly cool in November so bring your jacket just in case. We are listed on the NSRA Calendar of events.
