The Alaska Miata Club (AKMC) is a social car club established in Anchorage on May 25, 2003. Our mission is to have fun with others with similar interests and to help each other with our cars. We have chapters in Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Juneau but have members from the entire state. Recently, we acquired members in Canada, Yukon Territory. We welcome everyone who is a fan of the Mazda Miata and you do not have to own one to join. You do not even have to be IN Alaska. LOL. At the AKMC, the member is always more important than the car. Our members ages extend from teens to late 60s. Our rides range from bone stock to highly modified, from Mark I to Mark II. Our diversity is what makes the club interesting and exciting which our rides reflect. It snows heavily during winter but that is why we enjoy our long summer days top down, under the Midnight Sun.
