The Piston Heads Auto Club was organized in 2003 as a means for car enthusiasts with both old and new cars to get together to share ideas, not to mention to have fun and fellowship. The organization hosts car shows, swap meets, car cruises and other activities throughout the year. It is a family oriented club with lots of participation by the lady members. The club strives to provide a monthly activity. Members take part in many community activities including Jim Bowie Days, Chicken & Bread Days, High School Homecoming, Festival of Lights Christmas Parade and many fundraising events. The 2008-2009 Schedule of Events will include:
Montague County Sesquicentennial Celebration on October 18, 2008, Bowie Auto Swap Meet on the 3rd weekend in April 2009, Jim Bowie Car Show on the 4th weekend in June, Chicken & Bread Days Car Show the 1st weekend in October and Festival of Lights Parade the 1st Saturday in December.
Membership is open to anyone with a valid driver's license and a love for cars both old and new.
