I'm sadly parting with my old Ford truck. I purchased it 6 months ago from the second owner, who purchased it 6 months earlier from the first owner (he flips old trucks). It's been great, but I just don't have the time to keep up with it as a primary vehicle. The minor maintenance and general TLC that a truck like this deserves turned out to be less practical than what I can provide without a second car and more importantly...a garage.
Year: 1979 Make: Ford Model: F100 Custom Transmission: 3 on the floor manual w/ overdrive Engine: 4.9L inline 6 A/C: no A/C, just heat mileage: ~85,000...previous owner claims that the original owner claimed it was original miles, but I have no way of knowing (I am the 3rd owner...previous owner purchased the truck at the end of 2011 from original owner, painted it and fixed it up a little bit then sold it)
As long as you start it up regularly (I try to start it up for a minute or two at least once every 2-3 days), it starts up fine and runs like a champ. If it's been neglected or it doesn't like the weather it may take a few tries, but the choke functions and helps in cold weather.
- New die-hard battery, replaced dome light, replaced seat belts, replaced hood hinges
- Just repaired passenger side turn signal and replaced socket; all lights and signals functional!
- Clear title
- Recent tires have good tread on them
- Recent paint job...it's a looker for sure. Gets plenty of compliments!
If you're interested let me know and I can send more pictures along and/or set up a time to see it.
