| Vehicle Description |
Stk. 1146 1967 GMC Step Side  Ton Pickup Truck. Everyone in America had a father, grandfather or uncle who had one of these trucks and worked it to death. This isnât that truck! With only 532 miles since the restoration was completed, this truck looks and drives as though it just drove off the showroom floor. The 327 V8 rebuild features an Edlebrock carburetor intake manifold, Headman Exhaust headers, dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers, and the requisite chrome valve covers air cleaner.
The truck features a 3 speed manual transmission on the column, power steering, all new wiring, and lots of new chrome. The American Racing wheels, mirrors, door handles, bumpers, rain guards, gauge surround, and glove box cover are all chrome, and all look flawless new. The vinyl bench seat has been reupholstered and looks like it did in 1967. There is a beautiful wooden steering wheel that matches the wooden bed floor, both in excellent condition. There are all-new white-faced Dolphin gauges and the original AM/FM radio. The rubber floor is new and the glass is in great condition.
The most interesting feature of this truck is the stepside long bed. Stepsides have always been the most desirable feature of these old trucks and a long bed stepside is a rare find.
Another important feature of this truck is the paint and detail work. The burgundy metallic clearcoat paint is smooth and shiny, even inside the bed and under the hood. This truck is exceptionally clean even for a collector vehicle. The appearance of the engine, interior, and paint surface rivals that of very high quality collector vehicles costing ten times as much. If youâre looking for a unique, inexpensive vehicle you can proudly take to car shows, look no further. |
